Safeguarding the environment, both at the Trieste production facility and in the countries producing green coffee, is an essential component of illycaffè’s production process and its policy for sustainable development.
Together with its strict adherence to pollution and environmental laws, illycaffè also places utmost importance on promoting environmentally-friendly practices among its employees, collaborators and customers.
The certifications illycaffè has obtained are formal recognition of its commitment. The UNI EN ISO 14001 certifies that illycaffè’s environmental management system conforms to the regulations, while the EMAS registration commits the company to improving its standards of emissions, energy consumption and recycling, and to monitoring critical points and communicating improvement goals and results.
