On the pages of illywords, the works of writers, artists and established professionals are the inspiration for the ideas and images of emerging artists, photographers and designers.

The illustration of each issue is awarded to students from the most interesting schools of art and design worldwide. Schools have included those in the cities of Milan, Vienna, Belgrade, Barcelona, New York, New Delhi and Peking among others.
